Jennifer Lancaster was a dynamic leader and unwavering advocate for Conservative values and grassroots empowerment in the Republican party for many years. Starting as President of her law school’s Young Republican's chapter, Jennifer went on to lead the Saline County Republican Women and served as 1st and 2nd Vice Chair of the Saline County Republican Committee, winning each role with unanimous support. Her influence grew after she won a decisive 73% victory, defeating the incumbent and the local congressman's preferred candidate to become Chair of the 2nd Congressional District. In June of 2024, she won the Chair of the Republican party’s biannual convention against Governor Sarah Sanders’ endorsed candidate and the sitting Republican party chair-man.

Under Jennifer’s leadership, the convention enacted bold America First changes, including closing Arkansas primaries and shifting power back to grassroots members. However, these efforts were met with resistance from Republican party officials, who unlawfully nullified the decisions made at the State Convention. In response to the violation of party rules and state law, Jennifer and twenty-two other delegates took legal action in federal court to defend the will of the people

Almost immediately, Jennifer became the target of retaliatory actions by Republican Party officials. An anonymous, flawed, and dishonest complaint was filed, bypassing required signatures and submitted to the wrong district. The committee reviewing the complaint was appointed by the individual Jennifer had defeated for convention chair and another was a member, who Jennifer had exposed for violating party rules to secure a seat on the executive committee, as well as the person who authored the “advisory opinion” which overturned the convention’s decisions leading to the lawsuit.

As a result of this orchestrated effort, Jennifer was unjustly removed from the party, banned for twenty years, and given a "not recommend" designation if she ever ran for office. 

Refusing to be silenced, Jennifer launched Arkansas 1st the very day she was removed. When asked about her resilience, she shared, “my identity is firmly in Christ, not in the opinions of others. I am called to educate others about the truth of our government and inspire them to stand boldly for Christian principles and freedom in the public square.”
