So Far Attorneys Have Billed Conway Mayor Bart Castleberry $161,384.29 To Persecute Officer Brittany Byrd….Will It Reach $500,000.00 ???

One of the big ongoing stories in the State, and the biggest in Conway, is the wrongful termination of Conway PD Officer Brittany Byrd….Yes I said wrongful.
Brittany was terminated by Chief Chris Harris on June 30th and immediately filed an appeal to the Civil Service Commission.
On July 8th Castleberry showed he was willing to spare no expense of taxpayer money to represent Chief Harris in the appeal by hiring Fuqua Campbell P.A….a very expensive law firm.
If you thought maybe Castleberry would at least spend your money to persecute Brittany with a Conway law firm well think again….Fuqua Campbell P.A. is a Little Rock firm.
Last Friday the Commission, who is now the poster child for Kangaroo Courts, voted 2 in favor of termination and 2 against it….A majority was needed to overturn Brittany’s termination.
Invoices from Fuqua Campbell show that from July through September the firm has billed Castleberry….or should I say the Conway Taxpayers….$161,384.29 for the case. (view the invoices at the end of the article)
The city will not receive the October billing until the first part of November. If the pattern of billing continues then you can look for the running total through October to jump to over $200,000.00….But wait there’s more.
Brittany has announced her intention to appeal her wrongful termination by Harris to Faulkner County Circuit Court….Good for her !
With that announcement, a whole new round of billing from Fuqua Campbell will begin and we will be looking at more months of high-priced invoices.
The only question at this point is whether their billing will reach a $500,000.00
That’s not a worry for Castleberry though….Like I said he has already proven he will spare no expense of Your money to defend Harris’ persecution of Brittany.
