Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley….A Revisit With Violence & Corruption

Over the last month I have been blown up with requests to bring my past investigations into Staley back to light….My pleasure.

In early 2022, I must have spoken with well over a dozen police officers that either worked for Staley or were from area agencies who gave me detailed accounts of him beating defenseless detainees or county jail inmates.

The problem was that either there was no video of the beatings or if there were, those videos were quickly destroyed….Then a break came.

In mid-April 2022, Tim Huett ( McHenry Group PLLC ) and I partnered with a brave inside source within Staley’s department to get a download of video showing Staley attacking an inmate….A video Staley thought was long gone.

The video, from March of 2019, showed Staley punching and then choking inmate Chris Sallings inside the jail.

Now Staley had no idea we had the video and on April 25^th, 2022 Tim and I attended a Republican meeting in Cabot where Staley was speaking. During the meeting I confronted Staley about the incident and he denied it.

After the meeting I spoke with Staley at length about the attack and several other issues. As we stood face to face, I looked him in the eye and calmly told him that he is a criminal and should be in prison.

I then made the video public and spoke with Lonoke County Prosecutor Chuck Graham and provided him the video. Not only did Graham not prosecute Staley, he actively worked to cover for him….A distinct pattern with Graham.

Of course this should be no shock to anyone….I mean Graham is the same guy who is hell bent on prosecuting Aaron Spencer for protecting and saving the life of his young daughter.

Graham has been able to protect Staley criminally….but he can’t protect him at the ballot box.

That is why I am more than happy to start going down memory lane in the investigations I have done into this criminal who wears a Sheriff’s badge.

So, the people of Lonoke County can see just who Staley is….and boot his ass out of office.
