In the past I have brought you multiple stories involving Hardick violating State Law and policies.

So it should be no shock that Hardrick, whose State education license is currently on probation, is in hot water again.

On May 14th, 2024, a complaint was filed by Deanielle Jones with the Arkansas Department of Education’s Compliance Assistance Center, (CAC), against Hardrick and the District.

The complaint alleged violations of State and Federal Law pertaining to Section 504 and Discipline policies in regard to her son.

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in educational programs and activities that receive federal funding.

On August 26th, 2024, the CAC determined that Hardrick and the District were not in compliance regarding the allegations.

Ms. Jones has now taken her case to the State Education Professional Licensure Standards Board, (PLSB), in the hopes of accountability and change.

She filed Ethics Complaints against Hardrick, High School Principal Aundra Bohanon, Athletic Director Donnie Willis and Special Services Director Jana Lee.

The PLSB notified Ms. Jones in writing that their Subcommittee on September 5th of this year voted unanimously to open an investigation into the allegations for all four Educators.

If the Committee finds that the allegations are founded, then the State Board of Education could take action that includes fines, probation, suspension and revocation of each of the four Educator’s licenses.

That seems very likely considering the CAC determined the District was out of compliance regarding the complaint.

Ms. Jones stated the following – “My purpose in filing these ethics complaints is to bring forward the truth and demand real responsibility from those who hold power in this district. What happened to my son did not come from confusion or misunderstanding. It came from personal choices made by district leadership that were not based on policy, not based on state law, and not based on the standards required of educators. These choices caused real harm to my son and to my family. Information was withheld, my involvement as his parent was intentionally limited, and I was pushed aside at a time when he needed protection.”

With Hardick’s license already on probation, will this be the last straw for her with the State Board ?

Time will tell but do not expect a decision soon….This process could take months.
