2025 Legislative Session’s Top Cottonmouth In the Senate ?….Easy….Kim Hammer.

If you think Senate President Bart Hester is the State’s most powerful Senator….Well….think again.

While Hester is a pretty powerful Cottonmouth, his fangs don’t come close to matching Hammer’s.

Hammer did more in the 2025 Regular Session to rob Freedom from Citizens than any State Senator I can remember, while at the same time granting himself new powers.

Hell, I’ve never even seen a Governor be able to pull off what he did….and that includes ole Slick Willie himself.

Let’s take a look at what the Top Cottonmouth got done this session.

Article 5, Section 1 of the State Constitution grants citizens the power to propose legislative measures, laws and amendments to the Constitution to be put on the ballot for voters to decide.

Overall, State Legislators have always had a disdain for Article 5, Section 1….They think they should be the only ones to put Amendments on the ballot.

The Secretary of State’s Office certifies these measures, and the signatures needed to get them on the Ballot.

Hammer, who is term limited out, announced last fall his candidacy for Secretary of State in 2026….Right now he is a shoo-in to win that race.

Knowing that, this session he launched a power coup by sponsoring eight bills in the Senate, and primary co-sponsoring four bills in the House, that will make citizen-led initiatives to create law or amend the State Constitution next to impossible.

The bills also granted the Secretary of State’s Office the unlimited power to ensure that.

Of those twelve bills, ten were passed and signed into law, teeing it up for Hammer to hold power over the people as Secretary of State….Give the Top Cottonmouth his due….that was one hell of a robbery of our Freedoms.

This coup is not the only reason Hammer is the most powerful Senator.

Hammer sponsored 35 bills in the Senate….are you ready for this ?….29 of them were passed and signed into law….That’s an astounding number !

You think he doesn’t run the Senate ?….A fact you know pisses Hester off !

He primary co-sponsored 53 bills in the House with 35 of them passing and signed into law !

Overall, he got 64 bills signed into law !

Hammer couldn’t pull all of this off by himself without help in the House so let’s give his cottonmouth waterboys a little credit –

State Representatives David Ray, Jon Eubanks and Ken Underwood….I feel certain Hammer is gonna throw them a few frogs….Or maybe not….You know how Cottonmouths are.

Yeah Hammer has positioned himself nicely to become the most powerful Secretary of State I’ve seen in my lifetime….But will he be satisfied with that ?

You can’t help but wonder if he’s really looking down the road to when Sarah leaves ???

Attorney General Tim Griffin was poised to be Governor until Sarah pushed him aside like an unwanted red-headed stepchild.

Since then, he has sat in his “Miss Congeniality” chair waiting for his chance at Governor again.

If Hammer has his sights set on being Governor, then Tim will just have to get used to wearing that sash….As the case with Hester, the Top Cottonmouths’ fangs carry a lot more venom than Tim’s.

Look…. here’s the reality that I have said before and I long for the day I don’t have to say again…. While my fellow Conservatives and I make up the vast majority of citizens in our State, the fact is we hold no power in State Government….The Swamp Party holds it all.
