Arkansas voters on November 5 overwhelmingly welcomed an unmistakable continuation of the Republican stronghold on the state, with all four Republican U.S. Representatives being re-elected along with Republican incumbents in seven contested Arkansas Senate races — including Senators Ben Gilmore (Crossett), Jimmy Hickey (Texarkana), Mark Johnson (Little Rock), Dan Sullivan (Jonesboro), John Payton (Wilburn), Breanne Davis (Russellville), and Jim Dotson (Bentonville).

Both the Arkansas House and Arkansas Senate retained Republican super-majorities on Election Day, with the House losing only one seat: Diana Gonzales Worthen won Springdale’s House District 9, the state’s first and only majority-Latino district. She defeated freshman incumbent Republican Rep. DeAnna Hodges by 472 votes in her second attempt to get the seat.

The Arkansas Legislature convenes on January 21, 2025 for the 95th General Assembly.
