It’s coming sooner than you think! The Arkansas Legislature’s 95th General Assembly begins on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

We’re watching for maybe eliminating the grocery tax completely (along with more tax cuts in general) and further adjustments to the LEARNS Act, as well as what we think will be more attacks on our people-centric, gold-standard Freedom of Information laws. Of course, your pocketbook always bears watching anytime the Legislature is in session!

Outside the session, the Legislative Council/Joint Budget Committee heard Governor Sarah Sanders’ “balanced budget presentation” back on November 19, 2024.
