State Senator Bryan King….Rebel With A Cause….The People

Senator King is a farmer in Carroll County. He represents District 28 which covers Carroll and Madison Counties along with portions of Boone, Franklin, Johnson and Newton Counties.

Now I’ll bet you that Senator King and I don’t agree on everything; however, we have a lot in common.

We are both Country Boys….We are both Conservatives….We are both pains in the Ass of the Republican, (Purple), establishment….And my favorite…. we both piss off bad people in Government.

While so many in what I call “The Purple Party of Arkansas”,(PPA), have worked tirelessly to rob the People of their rights, Senator King has Walked Tall in the Capitol fighting them and standing for the People.

In the 2023 Special Session where Governor Sanders, AG Tim Griffin and State Senate President Bart Hester led an effort to steal our rights to transparency in the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (AFOIA), King was the only Republican Senator to very publicly oppose them.

One night during that session, the Old Supreme Court room at that Capitol was filled with Citizens against this theft of their Rights. Hester entered the room and began addressing the citizens in a disrespectful and condescending manner.

King was in the room and spoke up to Hester’s bullying of the citizens telling him what he was saying was not true.

A red-faced Hester immediately tucked tail and crawfished out of the room. While King wasn’t looking for it, at that very moment he gained well-deserved Folk Hero status with the People.

In the 2023 regular session, the PPA passed Legislation on Crypto Mining putting Lobbyist and Big Money over the People which has caused great suffering Statewide, especially in Faulkner and Arkansas Counties.

King is the only Legislator who is fighting this legislation and brought a Bill in the 2023 Special Session to repeal the passage. That Bill was supported by the People but ignored by the PPA.

As you all know, Governor Sanders and the PPA are shoving down the throats of the citizens of Franklin County a Prison in their backyard that they do not want at an outrageous cost to Taxpayers.

King has been a fierce defender of the Franklin County residents fighting the Governor and her PPA cohorts on the matter which has resulted in Hester labeling King a Democrat.

Hester told KATV’s Andrew Mobley  – “Sen. King continues to align with the extreme left like Chris Jones and the Democrat Party on all these issues down in Franklin County.”

You see the PPA has adopted the tactic that when they cannot overcome Facts and Truth being presented, they then try to label the presenter a left-wing Democrat.

All I can say to King on that is on behalf of myself and Jennifer Lancaster….Welcome to the Club !

You see when real Conservatives unmask those who con you into believing they are Conservative, the only thing they can do is scream….’You are a Democrat!’….That is the very definition of Pathetic.

Now so far for the 2025 Regular Session which starts tomorrow, King has filed –

SB10 & SB11 dealing with Crypto Mining.

SB12 & SJR1 enhancing Transparency.

SB5 & SB6 new Criminal Law

SJR2 dealing with the Apportionment Commission.

All are solid Conservative Legislation so you can bet the PPA will oppose them.

He has also announced he is filing a Bill with a plan for Prisons, and it is an interesting concept to say the least.  I will be reporting on it.

Now I have not seen Senator King in person since the 2023 Special Session so I’m looking forward to seeing him next week and watching him….Walk Tall throughout the Capital.
