Conway School Board President Sheila Franklin Attacks Fellow Board Member Dave Naylor In Email Exchange

Conway has been abuzz lately over several issues, one of which is the exposed corruption in the District’s maintenance department.
Get ready for that Buzz to get louder
On August 21st Board member Dr. Dave Naylor sent an email to Franklin, Interim Superintendent Jason Black and District Chief Legal Officer Shasta Wagner.
Naylor asked that an update to the proposed Legislative Audit concerning the corruption be added to last Tuesday’s August 12th Board meeting agenda….Franklin and Black refused.
That led to a stunning email exchange between Franklin and Naylor.
In response to Franklin, Naylor stated “ I think there must be a misunderstanding on me asking to be put on the agenda. I absolutely will be speaking Tuesday night about the maintenance update. I was giving you a courtesy email and was not asking for permission. When you were elected President , Trip ask if you would let us speak freely. You said absolutely and acted like that was a strange request. Well here we are a short time later and I feel like I am being censored. Do you understand that the board and public were misled by the comments at the last meeting by our legal counsel?”
That response clearly infuriated Franklin who shot back with a 1 ½ page angry all-out assault and attack on Naylor.
Franklin stated – “I’ve witnessed firsthand over the last several years your sense of entitlement.”
In referring to the exposure of corruption she stated – “It has become apparent to me that you have some sort of hidden agenda on this topic and possibly teaming up with the person who brought this to us.”
She went on to say – “This has really gotten out of control and the focus is definitely not on our priorities.”
Really ???….Coming clean on the corruption and demanding accountability is not one of her priorities ???….Well at least she admits it.
In her angry rant, Franklin stated Naylor is Problematic….Unprofessional….and Disrespectful.
I’m not getting that take on Naylor; however, I am getting it on Franklin.
Naylor responded with – “Sheila all I want is to tell the truth on this entire issue and move on with the public. I have no agenda against anyone. I don’t understand how hard it is to put this to rest.”
Franklin responded with “I’m personally not worried about the Jimmie’s of this community but obviously you are. I truly believe that we can silence the people by how we work together as a team.”
Did you hear that ?….Silence the People ???….Silence the facts about the Corruption ???
Is that what the citizens of Conway want in their School Board President or any Board member for that matter ???
I reached out to Franklin asking for an interview or statement and of course got no response.
Naylor on the other hand stated – “Why is it so hard for us to do what’s right.”
He went on to state – “The Public deserves to know what happened and what we are doing about it. Let’s come clean with the People. A Legislative Audit is the best way to address this and get the public answers and if needed accountability . I would think everybody involved would want that.”
Apparently not Franklin and Black.

While Naylor is working hard to get answers for the public, Franklin and Black’s message is….Nothing to see here folks….Move on.
Franklin and Black’s agenda are to cover up…the cover up…of the corruption.
That is on clear display in the email exchange between Naylor and Franklin.
In the very near future, I will publish articles proving Franklin to be anything but transparent along with her violating Open Meeting laws.

How in the world did this woman get elected to the school board?? Looks to me like she needs to be removed, or the state take over the Conway schools.
President of the School Board of Conway Public Schools???? What is going on here???
It seems that once again you’ve touched a raw nerve, Jimmie. Is it possible that there’s something or someone putting pressure on Ms. Franklin? Maybe it’s time to ask our other reps like Matt Brown to take this to Legislative Audit, and while they’re at it, look at what Ms. Franklin’s up to. This is too big to ignore unless you’re part of the problem. Is she?
