Fort Smith School District’s Administration Takes 2-Day $30,000 Retreat … But Who’s Learning To Read?

Records show Superintendent Terry Morawski splurge spending $29,516.42 of Taxpayer money to take his Administration on the Retreat at Mount Magazine State Park.

The Professional Development Retreat, held on July 25th & 26th, was planned and coordinated by Assistant Superintendent Tiffany Bone.

It was billed as a “Leadership Seminar” and was put on by J Casas and Associates…..Leadership in what ?….Teaching kids to read or how to waste Taxpayer money.

Sessions included laying on the floor writing on Poster Paper answering the question “Who am I ?” and then attaching them to the wall along with holding a paper plate on top of your head and trying to write on it….That’s sure to increase Math scores !

Here’s the Reality in the Fort Smith School District….Kids are not Learning.

In the 2023 -2024 school year the Fort Smith School District had an enrollment of 13,829 students. Records from the Arkansas Department of Education show the letter grades for the schools in the District to be –

2 with A’s.

2 with B’s.

8 with C’s.

14 with D’s.

Now you tell me….Was that $30,000.00 of your money well spent ?

And if you think this type of wasteful, Stupid spending doesn’t go on in your school district well….You need to join Dorothy on the yellow brick road.
