How Did State Republican Legislators Grade Out On Conservativism This Session ?….Not Good….Not Good At All

The 2025 General Session proved something that many have known for over a decade….That the Republican Party of Arkansas has completely disconnected from Conservatism.
Does the RPA promote Republican legislators as Conservatives ?
You bet they do….That’s how they keep getting elected.
However, the facts pull the Conservative masks right off these legislators’ faces revealing who they really are….Just like an episode of Scooby-Doo.
As soon as the Legislative session ended last week, I set out to grade each “so called” Republican House and Senate member to see who is really conservative and who is wearing a conservative mask.
I didn’t want to grade them on Bills that were “gimmies”, “slam dunks” or “layups”….I wanted to grade them on Bills that would truly test them on conservatism.
I selected twenty-six Conservative and Anti-Conservative Bills that dealt with Freedom, Transparency, Special Interest Groups over People, Foreign Entities, Shrinking State Control, Growing Local Control, Shrinking Government Power, Growing Citizen Power, Government Overreach and Government Spending….All serious Conservative issues.

I graded each Legislator not only in how they voted on the House and Senate floors on these twenty-six but also how they treated them in Committees. I also considered if they were lead sponsors of these Bills.
If you have been paying attention over the past several years, then you are not going to be shocked by the grades but if you haven’t ?….Well you’re about to be.
Of the 82 Republican House members there is 1-A, 0-B’s, 2-C’s, 10-D’s and 69-F’s
Of the 29 Republican Senate members there is 1-A, 1-B, 1-C, 3-D’s and 23-F’s
If you are a Conservative, then the letter grades have made you sick….If you wanna go ahead and throw up just look at the percentage grade for each individual House and Senate member.

You have heard me say this time and time again during this year’s session….The RPA holds the overwhelming majority of seats in the State Legislature and while the Democrats come in second, they are not the Minority at all….Conservatives are.
The reality is that will not change until the majority of good Conservatives in our State wake up and see that the RPA has conned them.
Only then can we begin to drain the Swamp in our State.
While President Trump is working to drain the Swamp in Washington DC….Governor Sanders and the RPA are working to expand it here in Arkansas….and they are succeeding.
