Police Report States England School Superintendent Beat His Disabled Wife

Yesterday I reported that England School Superintendent Mark Price was arrested earlier that morning for 3rd Degree Domestic Battery.
He was arrested by England PD at 5:25am and then booked into the Lonoke County Jail at 8:33am. He was processed and released on $1,000.00 Bond at 10:20am.
England PD Officer Baily Marcum was dispatched to a resident at 5:15am after a call for help to 911 was made by his wife Nancy Jane Price.
The narrative from the Police Incident Report paints a dark and violent picture of Superintendent Price. Here is the text from the Report –
On March 26th, 2025, Dispatch was notified of an incident involving a Domestic Disturbance which was no longer physical located at 712 E Homan St at approximately 0515 hours. An officer was dispatched immediately and made contact with the caller, Nancy Price, upon arrival.
Nancy advised that her and her husband had gotten into an argument that turned physical due to issues in their relationship. Nancy believed that Mark had been leaving at night to “live a double life” and when he came back to bed, she was upset and kicked him. Nancy stated that he began yelling and cursing at her, and the situation became physical resulting in numerous visible injuries which were observed immediately by the officer. Nancy had a visible abrasion on her head, just above her right eye, and a split lower lip. She also had bruising on her right wrist, and a slight cut on her upper right arm with light bruising.
She advised that Mark Price was the other party, and shortly after he had entered the living room. I requested he step outside to speak with me, and gathered a brief rundown of his version of events.
I then temporarily detained him in the back of my unit while I spoke to Nancy and gathered her statement. Nancy stated that her and Mark had been previously married and divorced, and had gotten back together to attempt to give it another try.
She advised that Mark had previously physically and emotionally abused her, but this time she called 911.
She stated that the altercation took place in the bedroom, and due to the darkness of the room, she was unable to tell exactly how she was struck or by what, but she knew there was no weapon involved. She confirmed her injuries were a direct result of Marks actions, and did not happen by accident.
A written statement was taken from Nancy, as well as a Domestic Violence Lethality Statement which immediately triggered the protocol at Question #1 which asked if the offender had ever threatened her with a weapon, to which she advised that in a previous situation Mark had attempted to hit her with a beer / whiskey bottle, and someone was able to stop him before it connected.
She advised that she was permanently disabled, and unable to defend herself much. She also stated that she previously would have spells of unconsciousness where he would leave her for hours at a time, never calling for aid.
After concluding that Domestic Battery had clearly happened, I advised Nancy of the process and what would happen next, and proceeded to return to Mark. At this time I advised him that he was being placed under arrest, and did not question him further. He was transported to the England Police Department for processing where a No Contact Order was served on him, and subsequently transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center.
Currently Superintendent Price’s Plea and Arraignment is scheduled for May 8th in England District Court.
Body Camera footage is unavailable at this time due to it being part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
No word yet on if the School Board will place Superintendent Price on Administrative Leave pending outcome which is prudent in this situation.
It is important to remember that while Superintendent Price has been charged, at this time he has not been convicted.
