Sanders-Backed Senate Candidate Trey Bohannan In Business Partnership With Convicted Pedophile – Part 1

Bohannan, out of Stuttgart, is running for the State Senate District 10 seat currently held by long-term State Senator Ron Caldwell.

This article, Part 1, focuses on Bohannan’s relationship with a convicted Pedophile.

Part 2, which will be published in a couple of days, will focus on Governor Sanders not only endorsing Bohannan but also pumping money into his campaign.

District 10 consists of Cross, Jackson, Monroe, Prairie and Woodruff counties along with parts of Arkansas, Lee, Lonoke, Poinsett and St. Francis counties.

Bohannan who is best known as “Bo Dirt” owns TreyBoDirt Media LLC.

The company was created and filed with the Secretary of State’s Office on July 29^th, 2024.

Bohannan’s partner in the company, Christian Trey Ashcraft of Pine Bluff, is listed as an Officer in the company as its Incorporator & Organizer.

On February 22^nd, 2017, Ashcraft pled guilty in Federal Court to internet stalking. His conduct spanned almost 10 years from January 2005 to December 2014.

Using the e-mail account moc.oohayobfsctd-18c18f@0002_lrug_e_nuf, Ashcraft would send sexually explicit photographs of an adult female he was pretending to be to unsuspecting individuals.

Ashcraft used the scam to enter into an online relationship with a 15-year-old girl.  That relationship continued through and past her 18^th birthday, culminating with the young lady meeting him at a hotel where he took sexually explicit pictures of her.

Investigators found approximately 800 images of the young lady on Ashcraft’s computer and on June 17^th, 2017, he was sentenced to 24 months in Federal prison which is the top end of the sentencing guideline for the crime.

The full Press Release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office details Ashcraft’s sick and depraved crimes that should have resulted in much more than 24 months in prison.

When I learned of these facts, the question that immediately came up in my mind is why would anyone enter into a business partnership with a convicted Pedophile ?

Who better to ask than “Bo Dirt” himself.

Yesterday afternoon I called and spoke with “Dirt”…..For some reason that sounds so much better than Bohannan.

I told him who I was and stated – “You are in business with a man named Trey Ashcraft”….That was all I could get out when “Dirt” cut me off stating – “No that was a deal we did a long time ago for a….what you call it….a podcast.”

I told him that the company was set up in late July of 2024 which is not a long time ago.

I followed by reminding him that he and Ashcraft were guests together on the Blue Collar Business podcast on February 5^th, 2025. That podcast showed the two men to be very close friends and business partners.

I then asked “Dirt” if he realized Ashcraft was a convicted Pedophile ?

He answered with – “Well we just got into that about 6 months ago figuring that out….Yeah.”

I asked what actions he took then to which he answered – “Well there’s no actions we can take…you know…at the moment.”

I then stated – “Well he’s still partners in TreyBoDirt Media LLC correct ?”

“Dirt” answered with – “Yeah we just haven’t shut it down is all it is.”

I responded with – “Okay so basically you are still in business with him.”

That clearly put “Dirt” on his heels as he responded with – “Yeah whatta ya gittin at ?”…. “Whatta ya…Whatta ya try’n to do here ?”

I thought, well Hell it’s pretty obvious, but I went ahead and spelled it out for him by stating – “I’m writing a story on it. You are running for the State Senate and the fact is that you are in business with a convicted Pedophile, so I’m going to write a story on that and that’s the reason I’m asking you about it.”

I mean it’s not nuclear fusion right ?….I’m pretty sure even AOC could comprehend my intent.

He responded – “Yeah…so…I mean what…what’s the point of that, you know it’s a business that we never evolved.”

God love him….I replied – “What’s the point in writing a story on that ???….You are running for State Senate, and I think the public has a right to know who you are in business with.”

I furthered by stating – “The business is not dissolved, it is in good standing with the Arkansas Secretary of State.”

He shot back with – “Yeah but I understand what you’re saying you’re just trying to do anything you can to make me…you know…not look good or whatever, I get that.”

I responded with – “Bo my question is when you found this out, why didn’t you take measures to immediately dissolve that company and the relationship with him ?”

At that point “Dirt” tapped out on me and hung up.

I hate that because I had several more questions about his relationship with Ashcraft….I bet you the readers do as well.

It never ceases to amaze me that when people in public office or running for public office, like “Dirt”, are caught in unlawful, unethical or incompetent behavior, then they immediately try to portray themselves as being victimized.

There is a name for people like that, but my wife and Jennifer would both get on me for stating it in the article, so I’ll just go with – “Hey Bo….you want some cheese with that whine ?”

Think about this….A man embraces and becomes close friends and business partners with a well-known convicted Felon and Pedophile in his community….A year later he decides to run for State Senator in a District that covers five counties and parts of five more….A seat that holds enormous responsibility and decision-making on behalf of citizens….And he can’t understand the point of letting the folks in that District know about his relationship with Ashcraft ?

Or maybe he does but just thought no one would ever expose it.

At the end of the day “Dirt” is either A – Incompetent…B – Unethical…or C – Both…..None of which are good.

I got news for you “Dirt”….the only victims in this story are Ashcraft’s and the citizens in Senate District 10 if you are elected….And that’s Facts not Fiction.
