Conway's Mass Shooting...The Cover Up Continues.

On October 30th I published an article that I had filed a complaint with the Conway Police Department against Officer Nathan Watkins ( aka – Buffalo Wild Wings Cop ) for violating rules of conduct for officers in regard to the mass shooting at 5th Avenue Park on April 13th.
The complaint was fifteen pages and along with it had nineteen attached exhibits. It detailed thirty-three indisputable counts of violations committed by Watkins. The complaint along with all the exhibits were included in the article for all to see.
Chief Chris Harris assigned his right hand, Assistant Chief Mike (Pooh Bear) Welsh, to investigate the complaint….There’s some objectivity right ?
Now I was under no illusions that anything would be done about it when I filed the complaint….After all for Harris and Welsh to find that Watkins committed the violations would be an indictment on the Department for failing to prevent the shooting.
So, it was no shock that on Monday I received a response to the Complaint by Welsh stating – “The results of the complaint have been classified as unfounded. The allegation was determined to be false or not factual.”
Huh….That’s weird since the records of fact in the complaint were provided by the PD through a Freedom of Information Act request….Welsh is literally saying that his own records are not factual….That’s like someone saying the murders at the park that day were not murders at all.
Welsh emailed me on November 6th letting me know he would be the one investigating the complaint. I immediately emailed him back stating – When you are ready to interview me on the matter let me know and we can schedule a time to meet.”
I made that statement to Welsh knowing full well he wouldn’t have the courage to interview me, so it cracked me up when in his response he feebly tried to account for not interviewing me.
He stated – “Your complaint was very detailed and thorough. With that in mind, I did not see any need for a face-to-face interview.”
Translation – Jimmie I can’t look you in the eye and defend my own untruthfulness in finding this clearly founded complaint….unfounded.
So what’s next ?
Well, I’m filing the complaint with….don’t laugh….the Civil Service Commission.
I know…I know…the same Commission led by Mike Mason that made a complete mockery out of due process in the Brittany Byrd hearing.
Kind of like they do in the Peoples Republic of Vietnam….Right Mr. Mason ?
Yep, the same Commission that broke multiple State laws in the Brittany Byrd hearing….That’s the focus of an upcoming article.
Look…. the Commission can either do what is right or they can do what is wrong….I’m just going to publicly make them decide.
